What inspired you to create Floral Spell Skincare, and how did you develop your unique approach to skincare products?
For over two decades, I worked as a luxury floral designer in New York City, immersing myself in the beauty of flowers. I always felt there was more to flowers than just their aesthetic appeal—they carry a depth of healing potential that fascinated me. This curiosity led me to study herbalism and intern with an acupuncturist, where I learned how to blend herbal formulas.
Chinese medicine, in particular, opened my eyes to the transformative healing properties of flowers, inspiring me to further explore their benefits. My approach has always been to let the flowers lead; every product in Floral Spell Skincare starts with the flower as the hero ingredient, guiding the creation process.
Can you tell us about your line and the different products?
My line currently includes three carefully curated products, each inspired by the transformative power of flowers.
Awaken with Flowers is a rich and deeply hydrating moisturizer infused with organic peony and hibiscus extracts sourced from France. Designed to nourish the skin and enhance natural radiance.
The Blooming Orchid Serum is a hydrating and plumping serum powered by the benefits of orchid stem cells and hibiscus. This hydrating serum is a natural retinol alternative that visibly plumps the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines, leaving it smooth and rejuvenated.
The Spring Elixir is a lightweight nourishing face oil. Its key ingredients include white lily stem cells, which help address dark spots and uneven tone, and ahiflower seed oil, a balanced source fatty acids. White lupine along with 13 flower oils and floral stem cells support skin vitality and radiance.
Many skincare lines use natural ingredients, but Floral Spell stands out. What sets your ingredient selection and formulation process apart from others in the industry?
At Floral Spell, my formulas are intentionally flower-forward. The ingredient selection process begins with the flowers I’ve worked with and loved throughout my career. I’ve spent years in research and development researching their healing properties and discovering how these flowers can work synergistically to enhance their benefits. These flower blends form the foundation of each product.
Once the flower combinations are finalized, I carefully select supporting ingredients that complement and amplify their effects. For example, instead of using traditional hyaluronic acid, I chose snow mushroom for its hydrating properties. It pairs beautifully with peony and hibiscus, creating a more harmonious and effective formulation.
This intentional approach ensures that each product highlights the unique power of flowers while delivering targeted results.
How does Floral Spell fit into the daily routines of busy individuals, especially those with a minimalist approach to skincare?
I see Floral Spell as an invitation for people to pause and give themselves—and their skin—a moment of nourishment and care, even if it’s just for one minute. Because the line is inspired by flowers, I love the idea that something as simple as seeing a vase of flowers or flowers growing in the garden can serve as a reminder to prioritize self-care.

I’m currently developing a product that will incorporate clean fragrance, further celebrating the essence of flowers at the heart of Floral Spell. This new addition will enhance the sensory experience, allowing people to connect with the beauty and aroma of flowers in an even more creative way. It’s an exciting step forward in showcasing the multifaceted power of flowers while staying true to the clean, intentional ethos of the brand.
