What inspired you to start La Enovesé Designs?
Kaela Genovese: I come from a large Italian family and growing up we would have “Sunday Sauce” every week. I would make little beaded bracelets as place settings for our dinner table. Fast-forward to age 15, I started my first retail job on Worth Avenue. The feeling of working in Palm Beach, in one of the top shopping destinations, was a dream. My creativity exuded in how I dressed, the styles I loved, and the places I wanted to explore.
You’ve been so successful in Palm Beach — what made you decide to bring your brand to the Hamptons this summer?
Genovese: Palm Beach and the Hamptons go hand-in-hand. Since much of my Palm Beach clientele have homes here, I decided that this year I would bejeweling them in the newest LED baubles.
Can you tell me about your Charm Bar Cart? It’s such a fun concept — how did it start, and what’s the experience like for someone building their own piece? Do you do parties?
Genovese: I am so proud to be known in Palm Beach to have the first Charm Bar in South Florida. I had been planning a launch party for my new collection and I needed something to showcase that would spice things up for my clients! This was a hit! You first pick your chain, next you pick your charms, and lastly, I attach them in your desired order. Now, I come with my LED Charm Bart Cart to birthdays, special events, and even Summer Soirees.
What pieces would you recommend if you are building your jewelry collection? – The Charm Builder on your site makes the process of shopping feel so personalized and interactive — why was that important to you?
Genovese: Our clientele live all over the world and not able to always be in a location where LED is set up. So essentially, creating this charm builder made it possible to shop and build your LED Charm Necklace everywhere and anywhere you are! There are multiple styles of chains and thousands of charms. It’s such a fun experience!
What can we expect next from La Enovesé this season in the Hamptons and where can we find you?
Genovese: We will be doing multiple Hamptons pop ups at Dune Deck and possibly Hamptons Polo. We offer our Charm Bar Cart to be rented out for parties, events, and Summer Soirees. You can shop LED IRL at SoulCycle at The Barn in Bridgehampton now through LDW. Our second location begins July 1st through LDW at The Hub in Bridgehampton. We also will be set up at The Hampton Classic in August.
What does your perfect summer day in the Hamptons look like — where are you going, what are you wearing, and who are you with?
Genovese: I start my day with my AG1 Greens and a workout! I do workouts at Post House in Sag Harbor, Issac Boots at The Hub in Bridgehampton, and of course, SoulCycle at The Barn. After my workout, I treat myself to a Matcha at Sag Coffee, and then head to work.
For dinner, I like SiSi, Tutto il Giorno, Sant Ambroeus, and Pop Up by Rocco. You will always catch me in my LED jewels whether I’m exercising, sun bathing, dining, or dancing! I am grateful to have my mom, Michelle and my dog, Squash here with me. You will find them by my side assisting me make LED magic happen. I have a few Palm Beach friends coming to visit this Summer and I am excited to show them why the Hamptons is my Happy Place.
