On August 2nd, Disco Caviar hosted a sunset cruise aboard the Freedom Boat in Montauk to celebrate the release of Oli Benz’s latest record, Set Me Free. The evening was generously sponsored by Hero Hotel Montauk, Montauk Brewing Co., MELA, and K-Array. Guests enjoyed a lively atmosphere with drinks from the open bar and performances by DJs Julian Erleigh and Chase Creighton, who set the stage for Benz’s electrifying set, accompanied by Dan Bailey on drums.

Originally from Australia, Oli and his wife, Sasha Benz, entrepreneur and owner of the in-store and online clothing boutique Wyld Blue, have found a home in Montauk, where they cherish the local community and the vibrant mix of creatives that converge on this summer haven. Smaller release parties like this offer artists a unique opportunity to road-test their records, gauge audience reactions, and fine-tune tracks before their official release.

“This is how you test drive tracks,” Oli said. “You play them in sets, see what people like, and change them as you go. When it’s ready, that’s when you release it. Most of the people here have already heard it, so we’re pretty pumped to enjoy it together.”

Sasha added, “It’s cool to do it in an environment like this, where everyone’s focused and here for the music. A lot of our friends are here, so it’s a really nice vibe.”

The evening was a celebration of friendship and emerging music—beats that flowed with the rhythm of the sea and resonated with every guest. As Oli Benz fittingly remarked, “It’s a bloody good time!”
