On August 3rd, The Crow’s Nest in Montauk was the setting for a sunset cocktail event marking the launch of Banana Republic’s vintage summer pop-up, curated by The Society Archive. The evening brought together a blend of New York City and Hamptons creatives against Montauk’s distinctive summer backdrop. Guests in attendance included Alex Roth, Alioune Fall, Dria Murphy, Jan-Michael Quammie, Khalil Ghani, Raphael Diogo, and more.
Inside the pop-up, Marcus Allen, founder of The Society Archive, shared insights into the curation process and offered styling tips, highlighting the intersection of vintage and contemporary fashion. The space featured a limited selection of 100 vintage Banana Republic items alongside pieces from the brand’s August collection, demonstrating Banana Republic’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
The Crow’s Nest’s second-floor venue was transformed into a distinctive shopping experience, integrating elements from BR Home into its design. The pop-up, running from August 2nd to August 9th, 2024, underscored the ongoing partnership between Banana Republic and The Society Archive.
Allen commented on the collaboration: “I’m thrilled to bring a curated vintage selection to Montauk this summer. Each piece reflects both the brand’s American heritage and its modern style. The Crow’s Nest is the ideal location for this pop-up—casual, refined, and effortlessly stylish.”
The collection included a range of men’s and women’s items, from outerwear to graphic tees, with prices from $64 to $324. The pop-up offered a unique opportunity to explore the blend of vintage charm and modern design in Montauk’s summer setting.
