On Saturday night the Gray for Glioblastoma Society hosted a summer soirée at Mulford Farms in East Hampton. The benefit to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research was a beautiful gathering filled with socializing, dancing, fun activities and a silent auction. Wolffer rose and summer cocktails flowed, and flavorful hors d’oeuvres were served to guests. Golden hour came and went, and the radiant sun leaving a warm glow as the backdrop to guests entering the historical farmstead.

Attendees walked up the expansive lawn to a weathered barn filled with an array of auction items. Guests personalized towels by Klein Design, tacked on bracelets by The Bond Society, designed travel tags with Sadie Bean Designs and were encouraged to write cards and doodle with one of GFG’s “Smiles, Support and Scribbles” station, which was set up by Long Island luxury picnics.

The host committee included Katherine Snedeker, founder of Gray for Glioblastoma, Ellie Thuman, Sports Illustrated Swim Rookie, John Bookvar, Lenox Hill Neurosurgery Vice Chair, and Randy D’Amico, Lenox Hill Neurosurgery Assistant Professor.

After her father was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in 2021, Snedeker founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to battling the disease. Since then, Snedeker has garnered a following of 10.7k, leveraging her platform to connect with influencers, raise awareness, share crucial information and generate funds for research. After experiencing the pain, loss and grief that accompany a loved one’s struggle with the illness, Snedeker passionately committed to GFG. She continues to make a lasting impact in honor of her father’s legacy every day. Craig, her father passed away in March of 2023 after almost a two year battle with Glioblastoma.
