ON SUNDAY, JUNE 28, Hamptons Social celebrated the launch of its July issue with a summer cover party at Baker House 1650 in East Hampton. Hamptons Social founder and editor-in-chief Lizabeth Zindel Wells and executive editor Erika Katz hosted the afternoon with Antonella Bertello, owner of Baker House 1650, bringing together friends of the magazine, brand partners, tastemakers, and guests in the hotel’s gardens. Event planning was led by Alexandra Reiss of Reiss Events.
Artist Deanna First brought her signature live sketching to the event, creating one-of-a-kind fashion illustrations for guests throughout the afternoon. First’s work includes projects spanning from film premieres, VIP sporting suites, merchandise, and brand collaborations. Most recently, she illustrated The Devil Wears Prada2 World Premiere in New York City and F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. She has also sketched VIP suites for the Knicks and Mets, celebrities en route to the Met Gala, and a children’s book titled 250 Years Young, Happy Birthday America!.
The tables and bar were adorned with stunning Venus et Fleur arrangements featuring hydrangeas and roses. Their real preserved hydrangeas, hand-selected at peak bloom from the brand’s botanical farms, retain their beauty for up to a year. Guests admired the Large Round Roses & Hydrangeas in Coastal Blue, the Fleura Heirloom Wicker Vases in Jardin Vert, and the Wicker Mixed Globes showcasing dahlias and hydrangeas in Jardin Vert. As the quintessential flower of the Hamptons, hydrangeas were a natural choice for the setting. The bouquets beautifully complemented the European-inspired gardens of Baker House 1650.
One of our favorite moments from the cover party was the grazing table that welcomed guests throughout the event. FreshDirect provided a bounty of fresh berries, cherries, grapes, artisan cheeses, Prosciutto di Parma, charcuterie, colossal shrimp, crudités, honeycomb, fig spread, olives, fresh baguettes, flatbreads, crackers, herbs, and other favorites. The delicious ingredients arrived fresh and ready for the celebration. Hampton Gifts & Events artistically arranged the grazing table into a sensational display that became one of the most photographed details of the day.
The bar featured cocktails crafted with Enemigo 89 Añejo Cristalino, including a Tommy’s Margarita and a classic Paloma, alongside tastings of the brand’s three expressions: Enemigo 55 Blanco, Enemigo 89 Añejo Cristalino, and Enemigo 00 Extra Añejo. Founded by three friends in Mexico City in 2012, Enemigo was created with a focus on quality, Mexican ownership, and additive-free tequila. The brand has earned more than 60 awards, including 15 Double Golds and five Tequila of the Year titles.
Guests also enjoyed Via Carota cocktails, San Benedetto water, and Natura Rosé, part of the Banfi portfolio. Holiday Vodka hosted its own martini bar.
Tarot readings were offered by Tarot Tauk in the courtyard. Music was by SET Artist Management, with DJ Ricardo Lima DJing throughout the afternoon. The party also featured a fashion pop-up by Taller Marmo and a diamond pop-up with Vetra and VL Cepher. Rentals were provided by Party Rental Ltd.
