Get ready to welcome Bounce Beach Montauk, opening in Sloppy Tuna’s former location on Friday, May 28. Brought to you by the Bounce group of Flatiron, Chicago, and Delray Beach (this winter), Bounce Beach Montauk will feature brunch, lunch, dinner, rosé and crafted cocktails in its oceanfront main room and on its outdoor decks. There will also be a take-out window steps from the beach offering lobster rolls and frozen margaritas and frosé.
Solid and Striped will be launching the first ever swimsuit take-out “pop up” bar a few feet from the sand. The fashion brand will also be designing the waitresses’ summer uniforms, and Goodlife Clothing will be dressing the male staff. Expect a much more upscale concept, from the menu to the programming side, than Sloppy Tuna.
Cole Bernard, Managing Partner of Bounce, gave Hamptons Social a sneak peek of the renovated space. The interior has received a total upgrade with all new furniture and fresh paintwork highlighting summery pastel colors like green, pink, and yellow.
The elevated menu is crafted by James Beard honoree Chef Sean Olnowich, who started his career with Mathew Kenny and Todd English. Highlights under “Appetizers Shared” include black mahi-mahi tacos, fresh mussels, and local burrata. Dinner dishes include Debragga-sourced prime NY Strip, locally sourced coriander crusted yellowfin tuna, and blue crab spaghetti. “One of our main focal points on the seafood aspect is supporting the local fisherman,” Bernard said.
The brunch menu will include Bounce’s famous Jameson-infused French toast called the “Banana Jamo,” matcha-infused coconut yogurt, homemade granola, and crafted cocktails.
On Memorial Day weekend, a slew of stars from sports and the screen and celebs will be celebrating the venue’s opening. “The Bachelorette” alum Tyler Cameron and his roommate, current “Bachelor” Matt James will be hosting festivities Friday night. Saturday brunch is courtesy of Dos Hombres Mescal and promises two exciting guest bartenders. Sunday brunch will be hosted by Solid and Striped, which has invited its models and friends of the brand to celebrate on the ocean deck.
Looking forward to opening weekend, Bernard said, “Montauk is a really special little town and Bounce has been in the BrandIt portfolio for 17 years. We have always wanted to have an outpost out east to cater to a lot of the clientele that come out here for the summer.”
