Chanel reopened the doors to its seasonal ephemeral Hamptons boutique on May 25th. The exquisite space is reimagined as a perfectly Parisian summer fantasy.
Situated in the heart of East Hampton, the gray-shingled boutique offers handbags, small leather goods, accessories, Watches & Fine Jewelry creations, Fragrance & Beauty, and fresh and modern silhouettes from the Coco Beach and Métiers d’art 2023/24 collections by Virginie Viard. The property’s glorious Hamptons Garden will be used for entertaining “en plain air” throughout the summer.
The newly rethought space at 25 Newtown Lane is a refreshing plunge into the spirit of Chanel à la plage. The light-filled and summery décor draws on both the Hamptons spirit and the timeless codes of the House, including the emblematic black, white, and gold color palette, and the elegant design touches synonymous with Mademoiselle Chanel’s eternally modern allure.
The boutique’s aesthetic connotes refined comfort and a relaxed sense of glamour inherent to the House. Matte black painted floors and white walls are accentuated by tweed rugs, and graphic accent pieces evoking Gabrielle Chanel’s legendary salon in her apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris. Reserved for private appointments, the second floor is adorned with creamy linen couches topped with throw pillows in white and gold CHANEL tweed.
The first floor divides its focus between Ready-to-Wear, accessories, Watches and Fine Jewelry, eyewear, and shoes. Here, clients can experience the House’s latest objects of desire, from diamanté-trimmed suiting, loose summery denim, gilded tweeds, and sleek evening options from the Métiers d’art 2023/24 collection, to the swimwear and colorful coverups of the Coco Beach collection, as well as surfboards, small leather goods, jewelry, and sunglasses from the Summer and Fall 2023 Eyewear collections.
A selection of iconic bags such as the 11.12 and 2.55 is presented alongside the House’s latest creations. Guests will also be able to discover an exquisite selection of the latest Watches & Fine Jewelry creations in a dedicated space, including the iconic and timeless J12, Première, Code Coco and Boy·Friend watches, as well as the emblematic Coco Crush and No.5 Fine Jewelry collection.
Designed for swimming and sunbathing by the sea, this year’s CHANEL Coco Beach collection dips into the codes of American sportswear as well as the CHANEL shows of the 1990s and combines the iconic black and white with touches of vibrant pink and coral. Sporty pop silhouettes in delicate fabrics are paired with two-tone terrycloth outfits, swimsuits, mini-dresses and jumpsuits in velvet or tweed for summer days and nights.
This new boutique is the perfect invitation to experience the timeless elegance of the House and to summer with CHANEL in The Hamptons.
