J.K. Place Paris gives you the feeling that you are stepping into a private Left Bank residence before you have even reached the lobby. Set on Rue de Lille in the seventh arrondissement, close to the Musée d’Orsay, the Seine, and Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the hotel sits behind an iron and glass gate, with a marble walkway leading into a 19th-century mansion in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Paris.
Reconstructed in the 1800s during the Haussmann era, the building later served as the Embassy of Norway before J.K. Place took over the address in 2019. Before that, it had the feeling and scale of a private home, which is part of why the hotel works so well today. The proportions are residential. The spaces feel like rooms rather than public stages.

J.K. Place Paris is part of Leading Hotels of the World, yet its character feels intimate and personal. With only 29 rooms and suites, it has the scale of a grand home. Architect and designer Michele Bönan, who is based in Florence and designs all the renowned J.K. Place hotels, gives the interiors their richness. His eye brings together marble, herringbone oak floors, black-and-white checkerboard tile, velvet sofas, and antiques.

Some of the hotel’s most memorable objects come from the Paris flea markets, especially Saint-Ouen, where Bönan finds statues and decorative pieces. There are masks, sculptures, books, paintings, with different cultural influences, placed with the inspired vision of someone furnishing a home rather than dressing a lobby.

The rooms continue the same residential feeling. They are elegant, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, with crisp linens, polished finishes, and a peacefulness that greets you after a long day in Paris. The beautifully designed bathroom offers beauty amenities by Alma K and Dyson hairdryers.

Casa Tua, the hotel’s wonderful restaurant, unfolds across several spaces, including the courtyard and the main dining room, where only about 10 tables create an intimate mood. Each table is set with a single white candlestick and a red rose. A small window offers a glimpse into the action in the kitchen. As you dine, you feel as if you are a guest at a dinner party inside a beautiful home.

The menu has a personal feeling, with photographs of the Casa Tua family on vacation. Highlights include burrata to start, branzino, and a sensational veal Milanese. Before the main courses, a basket of bread and focaccia is served with excellent olive oil.
The delightful breakfast includes fresh orange juice, baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolat, and raspberry pastries. The restaurant offers a jam of the day such as pineapple and vanilla. Butter arrives on a silver tray, stamped with the J.K. monogram. Every detail seems carefully considered and adds to the experience.

The spa offers Biologique Recherche treatments, two treatment rooms, an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, and Technogym. The property also arranges private experiences for guests, including guided visits through Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Montmartre, and the Louvre, along with excursions to Versailles or Giverny.

Capturing the spirit of the Left Bank with understated elegance, J.K. Place Paris is for those who value beauty, privacy, art, and impeccable service while preferring the intimacy of a refined residence over the scale of a grand hotel. Here, quiet magnificence welcomes you any time of the year.
