If you’re looking for one of the best lobster rolls in the world, jump on your favorite mode of transportation and race over to The Lobster Roll, also known affectionately as “Lunch” by the regulars. Open in 1965, the casual beach shack offers classic hot and cold lobster rolls. Our favorite is the cold one, but we’re also fans of its extensive menu, which includes a variety of fresh grilled, broiled, fried and stuffed seafood, lobster, steak, puffers, garden kale salads, chowders, and homemade desserts.
The red, white, and blue paper placemat boasts a lengthy list of celebrities who have frequented the establishment. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating in the cheerful garden — or if you’re so inclined, you can angle to grab the booth where Alison waited on Noah in Season One of Showtime’s “The Affair.” (The table is clearly marked with a sign.) On your way out, the cash register is surrounded by T-shirts for sale and a playful collection of colorful candies.
