On Sunday, August 4th guests were transported to the south of France as they experienced ‘A Day in St. Tropez’, an  immersive brunch celebration hosted at the The Surf Lodge in Montauk, NY.  The collaboration featured a special menu from world-renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Le Jardinier by The Bastion Collection and was paired with a selection of rosés from Chateau d’Esclans, the innovative wine-making estate nestled in the heart of Provence. 

While basking in the August summer sun, brunch goers dined al fresco on Le Jardinier’s seasonally focused menu while sipping Whispering Angel rosé and experiencing the joie de vivre of the Hamptons. In true Surf Lodge style, the music, décor and service was curated to represent the best beach clubs from the Cote d’Azur. 

The menu, expertly crafted by Le Jardinier’s Executive Chef Andrew Ayala, The Bastion Collection’s Executive Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone, and Chef de Cuisine Felipe Botero from Le Jardinier Houston at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, featured favorites made with locally sourced ingredients, perfectly paired with a glass or bottle of rosé from Château d’Esclans. The delightful courses included a Salad “Niçoise” with Bluefin Tuna Confit, Haricot Vert, Olives, and Egg Mimosa, as well as Grilled Montauk Bass accompanied by Summer Squash Compote and Bouillabaisse Broth. For dessert, guests indulged in a Roasted Peach with Almond Crumble, Vanilla Chantilly, and Cherry Coulis.

The magnificent immersive brunch brought together iconic French brands, featuring the enchanting Château d’Esclans in Provence and the culinary artistry of Le Jardinier. Château d’Esclans, situated northeast of St. Tropez, represents Sacha Lichine’s 2006 vision to create the world’s finest rosés, sparking the “Rosé Renaissance.” Le Jardinier, located in Midtown Manhattan, offers a serene escape with a menu rooted in French culinary elegance, designed by Executive Chef Andrew Ayala and complemented by Joseph Dirand’s greenhouse-inspired interior. With locations in NYC, Miami, Houston, and Geneva, Le Jardinier harmonizes its offerings with the unique essence of each destination.
